The average American spends a large proportion of his or her time in the office, hunched over a keyboard, staring at a computer screen and dealing with deadlines. The pressures of today’s marketplace take a tremendous toll on employee health and subsequently the rest of their lives. Stress-related illnesses are on the rise, costing employers huge sums in employee sick days and low morale. Time magazine has reported that 60% of doctor visits are stress-related (8/4/03).

How can yoga help?

What I’ve enjoyed most about taking yoga at my place of employment is the convenience of time and place. I always look forward to every Wednesday for yoga time after work.
