Your instructors

Rupali Embry, RYT, is coowner of Yoga Hawaii and a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher. She has also trained for 10 years in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition, having traveled to India multiple times to study directly with the late Ashtanga master Shri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, and his grandson, Sharath Jois. She is registered at the e500-hour level with the Yoga Alliance, the international association of yoga teachers, and has also been initiated into the Reiki tradition. She holds memberships in the International Association of Yoga Therapists and the Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association. Additional interests of hers are salsa dancing, high-level nutrition and playing in the field of magical possibilities.

Tania Jo Ingrahm, RYT, was introduced to Kripalu Yoga in 1988 by Rupali and has since become a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher. Together they founded Yoga Hawaii in Honolulu in 1998. In the early days of Tania’s yoga exploration, it was the breathing and internal practices of Kripalu Yoga that proved to be the most beneficial compliment to her years of competitive triathlon and coaching. Now focusing on Ashtanga Yoga and pranayama practice, she’s known to be a “detail” person when sharing her passion for yoga and the wide-ranging benefits to body, mind and spirit with her students. Tania has a way of bringing humor and unique ways of looking at the function of the body to all her classes.
