Heather Neeraja leads kirtan in the tradition of Jai Uttal, Krishna Das and others, blending in her own unique style, that welcomes the elements of harmony, English words mixed with Sanskrit mantras, bhajans and sublime moments of silence, prayer and meditation. She is a long-time devotee of Amma, the hugging saint, and brings the simple yet profound presence of the Divine Mother to her practices. She leads a weekly kirtan at the Studio Maui in Haiku, and has traveled the west coast of the US as well as Canada, Bali and the other Hawaiian Islands, participating in festivals, conferences and workshops.
